These illustrations were requested mostly by private individuals for their pet projects. On some I used the usual art marker and pastel to render the car. I provided Prismacolor pencil illustrations on colored Canson paper for those who wanted the vintage Detroit styling studio look. Designers Gouache was used on the make-up cases and the ’57 Packard. Acrylic was used on the portraits of famous customs for their owners. The 35 Chevy rat rod truck is pastel and colored pencil. The rusty ’32 Ford at Muroc is a Photoshop illustration. It was based on one of my photos of a shiny dark blue roadster.
Fred Hudson designed the yellow ‘57 Packard; the futuristic green Cadillac was by Peter Wozena and GM Greyhound bus was from 1956. All were all based on actual styling studio line drawings from the fifties. I was privileged to render them in color for the first time.
